Ryan Shanahan

Head Engineer

Ryan Shanahan is a freelance recording and mixing engineer based in Los Angeles, CA. Originally from Denver, Ryan came to Los Angeles in 2002 and began working at major recording studios such as The Village Recorder and The Record Plant. In 2006, he was given the opportunity to join the studios at Interscope Geffen/A&M/Records as a staff engineer and has had the pleasure of working with many of the label’s major artists. When he’s not commissioned on a label project, he independently mixes and produces developing artists and bands from his personal studio in Sherman Oaks.

Recent artists include Pitbull, Macy Gray, The Pussycat Dolls, Orianthi, Gavin Rossdale, Zedd, Good Charlotte, American Idol Season 10 and many more. Additionally, he has been assigned to projects for Universal Music Publishing Group’s roster of songwriters and producers, including Jukebox, Ester Dean, Janae Rockwell, Andreas Carlsson, Shy Carter, Matthew Koma, and of course Printz Board.

Ryan prides himself on being a true autodidact and also possesses an array of technical skills in addition to his engineering work. On the technical side, he specializes in data management, programming, and digital technology.  He currently possesses two RIAA certified Platinum credits for Orianthi’s “According To You” and The Pussycat Dolls “I Hate This Part” as well as recent mixes for All Time Low and Black Tide.

Ryan’s longstanding association with Beets and Produce has been a privilege and he is very proud to be a part of the team.
